Month: May 2024 (Page 1 of 2)

June 2024 in Astrology

Uranus enters Taurus this month, staying in the sign until December, when it will retrograde back into Aries. The major shift will happen in March 2025, and then Uranus will remain in Taurus until 2031. With Uranus being a major mundane influence, this is an important change, specially on a economic level.

Keeping this in mind, this shorter initial venture from June to December will represent a preview of things to come. Uranus is all about shaking things up and change, Taurus is all about stability, dealing a lot with finances and the economy. The Uranus in Taurus years ahead will represent big changes in the way we deal with property and money.

On the shorter term, in the rest of 2024, we could see some economic shake-ups. A lot of volatility is possible from now until early 2025. I will publish more on Uranus in Taurus later on, but it is important to keep in mind that between now and early 2025, a lot will be in flux. As we will be between the Aries and Taurus, going between extremes.

Going back to June, the early portion of the month follows the big Taurus energy of late May, and things feel lethargic on many levels. The Taurus time of the year always seems a tad slow, and it is normal to feel more indulgent or outright lazy. It is not exactly fun, if you have a lot to do. But that is just the energy of this sign.

Early June has an exact Jupiter-Pluto trine, this aspect promotes a desire towards transformation, as well as opportunities for great improvement. This aspect is with us for the entire month of June, so this month is a great time for making needed changes in our lives.

Another Pluto aspect of early June is a square to Mars, in effect for the first half of the month. This aspect, on the positive, promotes a strong passion and urge to make practical change. On the negative, it can promote aggression and conflict.

Around the 14th, with most planets shifting into Gemini, we gain a lot of speed. It is a great time for communication, studying and tackling multiple tasks or projects. Gemini season favors any kind of communication project or study. Make the best of it.

However, interestingly enough, we have yet another slow down coming along. Saturn turns retrograde on the very end of June, and the weeks near Saturn changing direction always feel a tad slower, as the planet makes a marking presence in the skies while stationary. So, from around the 22nd of June until early July we could (yet again) feel lethargic or slowed down

Stationary Saturn shows important karmic moments. This doesn’t have to be a negative thing. It usually deals with making necessary changes, moving into the right direction and taking responsibility for our lives and desires. So the end of June can be an important moment of change.

The New Moon this month happens on Rohini nakshatra. This is a very passionate star, dealing a lot with creativity, glamour and opulence. With the New Moon conjunct Venus, this month we can be very focused on creating or seeking comfort. This is an excellent time to start home improvement projects, beauty treatments or really anything that improves our mood and comfort.

The Full Moon this month happens in Mula nakshatra. The name Mula literally means “root”, so this star deals a lot with going into the root of the matter. This is a great time to gain insight or depth into our problems, ideas and desires. Around the Full Moon, we can get shocking information or outright feel upheavaled in some way. We can feel a strong urge towards change.

Summary

Mundane

The two Pluto aspects this month to me point towards a moment of agitation. We can see increased conflict, or a hot summer, on a mundane level. Protests, riots and clashes are a possibility now.

Personal

On a personal level, the Pluto aspects of June, combined with the Full Moon in Mula show the ideal time for improvement and transformation. It is very easy now to understand why we have certain issues, why we have certain desires, and what exactly we need to change in our lives. This month can be a great moment of personal transformation, we should strive to make the best of it.

New Moon in Bharani (May 7th)

I don’t usually do New Moon texts, but I make them when I feel it is important, so here we go. This New Moon on May 7th is an interesting one, as it happens amidst some interesting astrological changes, and in a nakshatra also related to change.

Pluto went retrograde on May 2nd, with it being the planet of power and transformation, Pluto retrograde always signals a time to rethink how we apply our energies and efforts. Are we in control of ourselves? Are we being controlled by others? Are we fighting the right battles? Some of the questions to be asked in this cycle, from now until October.

But with Pluto changing motion so recently, things are intensified in this early portion of May. A lot of us can feel powerless, or weak. We can feel a sense of hopelessness now. As with any start, this is hinting towards what we have to fix and improve. Any problem area, or deep concern, appearing now is a hint to things that you want to improve.

Another recent change was Jupiter in Taurus, the change of Jupiter always shows a new direction. But so recently after it, we are not yet clear on what changed or where to look to, hence the confusion.

On Bharani itself, this is the star of Yama, the god of death and dharma. He acts as an enforcer of rules. In many ways, a punisher. An emphasis on Bharani always promotes the idea of rules and order, on the positive. And authoritarianism and excess, on the negative.

Bharani can be related to any kind of suppression, repression, censorship or any excessive promotion of rules/regulations. Uranus in Bharani, from 2020 up until early this April, was the height of censorship and suppression around the world. Specially on the internet, which is related to Uranus. With the long cycle of the planet, it will only go back to Bharani around 2105 — you read correctly.

With Uranus out of Bharani, we will see increased fighting against censorship. I’m not saying it will end, like magic, but there will be less tolerance and passivity towards it. People will protest, complain and refuse to comply with excessive rules, rulers or censors.

In a way, as I’ve said other times, the 2020s are a rehash of the 60s. With many shared astrological similarities in both times. It is no wonder that similar events are happening in the world. The racial protests of 2020 had a similar tone to the ones in the 60s. The current repression of campus protests in the US are reminiscent of old clashes, like the Vietnam War draft protests.

The times ahead are strong moments of change. Looking a little less ahead, we have some interesting Mundane points this May.

The degree point of an Eclipse becomes a sensitive point, that gets activated whenever a planet passes through. On that note, this Friday we will have Mercury passing the Ecliptic point. This can be a time of revelation, information coming out or new discoveries. Specially for those with planets near the Eclipse, this can be an important moment of change and discovery. Either way, this is a time of clarity.

Later in the month, around May 24th, Mars will transit the Eclipse degrees. With Mars being a malefic planet, a harsh event can come from this influence. On a personal level, strong changes or complicated news can lead towards a new course in life.

Going on the even shorter term, into now, the week ahead up until the New Moon can be a very confusing and upsetting time. A lot of things feel unsettled now, and we might feel toned down or forced by circumstances. New information, specially emotional or shocking news, can come out now and force us to stop and reassess things.

The New Moon itself can be a strong time for revelations, new discoveries or some type of transformation. But things will feel more settled after it, and it will be easier to comprehend things and define rules or goals to deal with what we discover.
