October, when it comes… (I forgot to make that pun last month, so I’m doing it now anyways).
October is all about reversals this year, we will have Mercury and Venus turning retrograde, as well as Pluto turning direct this month. All these changes in motion show a time of, well, changes in motion for the world. Venus is diplomacy, deals and finances. So we can see reversals within the next month or so.
Mercury deals with communications, so the same for techology and IT. Pluto is different, but still relevant. It is turning direct. Pluto deals with power and control. When retrograde, it deals mostly with self-control, self-discovery and inner struggles; also backroom deals and intrigue, on a mundane level. When direct, Pluto reveals said power and intrigue.
Along for the ride, we also have the Sun entering Libra, the weakest sign for the Sun later in the month. As well as Jupiter entering Leo in the very end of October, on Halloween.

Going step by step, let’s start with Venus retrograde. This is an unusual transit, as Venus is the planet that retrogrades the least in the zodiac. It last went retrograde between March and April 2025.
Venus retrograde signals disagreements and conflict, so the month ahead can be fiery, more than usual. Combined with Mars in Cancer, a similarly angering influence, that leads to fights; this is not the most calm and peaceful time.
The New Moon this month happens on Hasta nakshatra, a star that deals with manipulation, magic and handiness. So around that New Moon (10th) we could see fake stories, major lies and illusions being spewed to the public.
About a week after the New Moon, Pluto will turn direct. This will signal a power shift. A day after, on the 17th, the Sun will enter Libra. The Sun in Libra shows a weakness in leadership, so this combined influence can show the weakening of those in power, with some outside forces gaining momentum.
On the 24th, Mercury will turn retrograde up until November 13th, the usual precautions are advised:
Mercury is the planet of communications, so everything related to communications could be slowed down. Computer problems, miscommunications, delays in deliveries and other kinds of issues become possible. Avoid mistakes by double checking and confirming things, and try to be patient when problems arise.
With Mercury retro, I see less tech issues in October, and more soap-opera twists. Drama, theatrics and grandstanding events will tend to happen in the end of October; with this influence. Plot twists, shocks, etc.
Tech issues will happen more in early November, specially around the 6th and 7th.
The Full Moon this month happens in Ashwini. The most interesting part of this Full Moon is that it happens opposite Venus retrograde, and square Pluto. It kinda just pulls the month, and the issues of October, together. We have Pluto and Venus retrograde being activated by this Full Moon.
Again, this goes in line with the trend I highlighted above, about drama and twists in the end of this month.
Speaking of end of the month, Jupiter will enter Leo on the 31st. I hate when something happens on the last day of the month, because then I have to editorially fit it in two months. But back to the actual prediction, Jupiter will make a temporary venture here, up until January 24th next year. Then it will be back in Cancer up until June 25th 2027.
Jupiter in Leo reminds me of something I wrote a few months back, about Trump:
Still, there is a mixed bag, with some upturns for him in the longer term. Jupiter will enter Leo on Halloween (Oct 31st), staying there until January 24th next year. Jupiter brings luck, good fortune and general upturns in the 1st house. Similarly, as noted above, the negative Ketu transit will end in early December.
Editorial: Astrology and Where We Stand
You can read the full editorial here, but I believe some upturns in that direction are possible, which will contribute to the turbulences and sudden changes that I highlighted with Venus and Mercury retrograde.
Ketu (South Node) is in Leo, weakening matters related to that sign. Jupiter coming in will strengthen the matters of Leo. So, in a way, this is an improvement for Leo. One positive is cancelling out the negative, sort of.
But again, this is more of a November matter than an October one.
Summary
Mundane
October combines two complicated influences, that promote disagreements and fighting: Mars in Cancer and Venus retrograde. It can be a complicated month ahead.
Around the 15th we can have some odd movements, as Pluto turns direct, promoting changes in power around the globe.
Mercury retro, around the 24th, will similarly bring surprises in.
The month ends in a wildcard, as Jupiter will enter Leo, where Ketu currently is. The things being weakened by Ketu will be strenghtened by Jupiter, changing things around in November.
Overall, October seems to promise a lot of conflict and turbulence.

Personal
On a personal level, October is a month to look back, there is a strong sense of nostalgia in the air right now. Mars in Cancer promotes this nostalgia, typical of this sign. And all the retrogrades similarly help with this trend.
Going over the past, re-living or re-analyzing it are all notable points this month.
Issues of anger and fighting can happen, so we should be careful with that, as this can be a time of arguments.
Venus retrograde can make it a turbulent time for lovers, and this is not the best moment for dating. For those on the market, you might have old lovers coming back this month.
