Visibility: USA, Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Brazil. Most of Central and South America will be able to see it, as well as most of the US in the beginning. Solar Eclipse at 26° Virgo, Chitra Nakshatra
An important point when analyzing eclipses and their effects is to understand that, generally, places where the eclipse is visible will see more effects than places where no visibility happens. It is also important to understand that eclipses have long sprawling effects, instead of immediate ones. New Moons and Full Moons affect the weeks around them, indicating monthly trends; Solar Eclipses and Lunar Eclipses affect the months around them, indicating yearly trends. The effects discussed below are things that will tend to happen in the next 6 months.
This Solar Eclipse happens in Chitra nakshatra, a star ruled by Tvashtar, the celestial architect. It represents beauty, the search for perfection and complicated structures. This nakshatra is related to anything requiring complexity and refinement. It deals naturally with art, as well as the engineering of complex things, such as computer chips and electronics.
It will be the final Solar Eclipse of the Rahu/Ketu in Aries/Libra transit, as the nodes will shift into Pisces/Virgo in the end of October.
As seen in the chart above, the Solar Eclipse will form a quincunx (6/8) aspect to Uranus. With a challenging aspect to the planet of sudden changes, this signals a moment of forced change, pressure or unexpected issues. The energy of Virgo deals a lot with planning, organizing things, and this aspect shows things going against the plan. Wild cards forcing unexpected change. On that note, a big point of this Solar Eclipse will deal with unexpected obstacles, and forced change, coming into play because of it.
This Eclipse is the second of three Solar Eclipses visible from the US. With the first one being a Total Solar Eclipse in August 2017, and the third being a Total Solar Eclipse in April 2024.
For the US and North America in general, having these two Solar Eclipses (October/2023 and April/2024) so close-by denotes an eventful moment, a powerful moment for change. As I’ve discussed on the US Sade Sati transit, there is a lot of transformation indicated in the chart of the country at the moment. This doesn’t indicate the easiest time, as changing is never easy. But overall, I think that things will improve in the long term.
Looking at the specific timeline going on, I believe that some shocking event or transformation in regards to the US is bound to happen around late 2023 and early 2024. A strong change in direction could be enacted, specially on a diplomatic level.
Going back to the current Eclipse specifically, it will be visible from most of the Americas. The path of the Eclipse will go through the Amazon forest, so I believe that some change in regards to that region is very likely. In special, we could see increased pressure towards the governments and leaders of that region, some reversals or issues with agreements could arise out of this.
Pluto will go direct on October 10th, so this Solar Eclipse will happen with a strong Pluto energy in the air. Pluto is a planet that deals a lot with power and politics, so we could see some strong reversals or obstacles in regards to politicians and leaders. Things going against plan and creating trouble.
On a personal level, this is a great moment for structural changes in life. Organizing yourself better, making plans, finding new paths and solutions to things. Making life better, by solving a long-standing issue, figures strongly now. Letting go of shadows and masks is another theme, focusing more on our own development, rather than what others think/want for us.
